Greetings Glen Alexander, Family, and Friends of the Oyo (Ohio) Department of Natural Resources,
May Peace Be With You.
Shalom. Namaste. Sabudicrom. Pax. A Salaam Alaikum.

It is good to receive your correspondence pertaining the establishment of this InterFaith Settlement at Salt Fork Park. The emphasis of the position of the Oyo (Ohio) Department of Natural Resources is acknowledged. Amidst this communication, it seems appropriate to briefly and specifically communicate why Salt Fork Park is identified for the establishment of this InterFaith Settlement.
In beginning, it is appropriate to note that there are numerous examples of private organisations who share material and monetary resources to acquire private property in order to respectively establish intentional communities; a listing of such intentional communities can be found at the website of the Fellowship of Intentional Communities, www.ic.org.
There are also numerous examples of intentional communities respectively founded by religious and similar organisations such as the World Peace Sanctuary in the State of New York, www.WorldPeace.org, and Plum Village in France, www.plumvillage.org.
There are examples of religious intentional communities specifically established with extending purpose, such as the Kibbutzim Movement in Israel, www.communa.org.il.
There are also examples of religious intentional communities that respectively and specifically maintain an international focus and autonomy, such as Auroville in India, www.auroville.org.
This InterFaith Settlement follows within this tradition.
This InterFaith Settlement is a forming, living intentional community founded upon the principle of interreligious cooperation, particularly amongst Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, and Islam.
There is a basic set of rules involved with this InterFaith Settlement.
a.) Universal Principles of Faith: This is a basic collection of rules respectively from Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, and Islam that each resident of this InterFaith Settlement acknowledges as a way of building mutual understanding and mutual respect.
b.) Abstinence from money: Each resident of this InterFaith Settlement abstains from holding or exchanging money as a means of enhancing the credibility amongst ourselves and amongst the international community.
c.) General Concensus: This is the methodology in which decisions are made at this InterFaith Settlement.
The second rule of abstinence from money emphasises that this is a benevolent endeavour rather than a private endeavour specifically organised for the accumulation of material wealth. However, this rule makes the establishment and operation of this InterFaith Settlement comparatively complex. Amidst the ability of financing the acquisition of private property, there has been a certain process: 1.) competing for financial contributions, 2.) identifying private or public property and competing for the acquisition of such property, and 3.) establishing the intentional community at the private property amidst the potential aversion from neighbours.
Rather than delving within this process of competition, we consider a location wherein there is an absênce of anyone losing a residence: a public park. Accordingly in this respect, the decision to provide the custody of Salt Fork Park to this InterFaith Settlement must necessarily be a public decision. With such a decision being public, much of the divisive competition previously described within the financial process of securing private property is absênt; in a basic manner, it is a simple decision of public letting go of some leisure. This is the process that we perceive to be most agreeable to all individuals, families, and organisations involved.
One of the difficult factors involved in this option is the change in the utilisation of the area from a public park to a comparatively private, living intentional community. We share the principle of nature being available for anyone to enjoy. This is significant. And we are working on establishing a policy where individuals, families, and organisations who previously enjoy the natural beauty of Salt Fork Park can continue to do so in as similar a manner as we can accommodate. We are also comforted with the fact that there are numerous public parks within the vicinity of Salt Fork Park and throughout the State of Oyo (Ohio) that individuals, families, and organisations can continue to visit, enjoy, and appreciate.
We are working on making the fair trade that we communicate increasingly tangible so that the direct benefit to the State of Oyo (Ohio) and Xanterra Corporation can be readily perceived and appreciated.
The proceeding is a brief summary of the fair trade that we offer:
a.) Individuals, families, and organisations respectively from around the World conduct two days of volunteer activities and projects that support the work of the United Nations;
b.) The United Nations provides membership dues forgiveness to the government of the United States of America Taínoterranea commensurate with the amount of volunteer activity registered from these individuals, families, and organisations respectively from around the World.
c.) The government of the United States of America Taínoterranea provides tax forgiveness and additional public programmes and incentives to the government of the State of Oyo (Ohio) commensurate with the membership dues forgiveness provided from the United Nations.
d.) The government of the State of Oyo (Ohio) provides monetary compensation to Xanterra Corporation commensurate with the tax forgiveness and additional programmes and incentives provided by the government of the United States of America Taínoterranea as well as commensurate with the value of ownership within Salt Fork Park previously held by Xanterra Corporation.
e.) The government of the State of Oyo (Ohio) and Xanterra Corporation provide the custody of Salt Fork Park to this InterFaith Settlement.
In some ways, this is a rather simple and fair trade, and in some ways, this is a complex trade. Efforts are being made to include some specific United Nations offices and programmes within this process to make the registration of volunteer work increasingly organised and credible; this includes the Alliance of Civilisations, www.unaoc.org, the Global Compact www.globalcompact.org, and the Office of the United Nations' Special Rapporteur for the Freedom of Religion and Belief, www.ohchr.org/english/issues/religion/.
